Faculty of Social Science awarded more than 15 SSHRC & NSERC grants.

The Faculty of Social Science has been awarded nine SSHRC Insight grants totaling more than $1.6 million. Western University received 17 SSHRC Insight grants in total.

The Faculty of Social Science has also been awarded eight NSERC Discovery grants, totaling $371,000.

Principal Investigators for the eight SSHRC Insight Grants been awarded are: from the Department of Anthropology, Jean-Francois Millaire; from the Department of Geography, Jamie Baxter and Chantelle Richmond; from the Department of Political Science, Joanna Quinn; from the Department of Psychology, Lorne Campbell, David Dozois and Bruce Morton; and from the Department of Sociology, Michael Haan.  

Recipients of the eight NSERC Discover grants are: from the Department of Psychology, Jody Culham, Jessica Grahn, Marc Joanisse, Martin Kavaliers, Stephen Lomber, and Stephen Lupker, and from the Department of Geography, James Voogt and Jinfei Wang.

Sylvia Goncalves, from the Department of Economics, has been awarded a SSHRC Connections Grant.
