Introduction

Kewa is the newsletter of the London Chapter of the Ontario Archaeological Society. It includes research articles devoted to the archaeology of the Lake Erie-Lake Huron drainage basin, as well as the drainage of the extreme western-most end of Lake Ontario. Our readership is comprised of professional, educational, avocational, and interested members of the general public. Eight issues of the Kewa are produced per year and the latest issue is 2007(1)

All articles submitted to Kewa are reviewed by professional archaeologists prior to publication. You may subscribe to Kewa by contacting the society directly or by ordering via your local book seller.

A complete list of research articles is included in the attached bibliography. A separate list of the Nineteeth Century Notes is also provided. All the 42 Nineteenth Century Notes are available compiled in a cirlox binding for $9.00 (postage included) by contacting Chris Ellis or by sending a cheque made payable to the London Chapter OAS to London Chapter, OAS, c/o Museum of Ontario Archaeology, 1600 Attawandaron Road, London, Ontario, Canada N6G 3M6 Back Issues of Kewa also may be purchased by contacting the Treasurer Chris Ellis.

The name of the newsletter, "Kewa", is an Ojibway word meaning "go back".

Information for Authors

Individuals wishing to submit material for review should contact the Kewa Editors, Christine Dodd or Chris Ellis at the address below. All submissions are reviewed by a panel of professional archaeologists prior to publication. The Kewa promotes archaeology in London and in Southwestern Ontario, Canada. Articles outside of this region will be considered based on the interests of our readership. The chapter reserves the right to refuse any articles that are not within the guideline of acceptable archaeological practice.
